Theodora’s porcelain work is an exploration between form and surface. She uses a combination of patch- work and collage on the form to transfer different textures or drawings creating multiple depths, so the light and the shadow play with the piece. Searching the boundaries and using the translucency that porcelain offers, the details of the textures are becoming more visible to the viewer. The forms are simple and geometrical, though her goal is to achieve deformation and a sense of movement weakening the body of the porcelain between areas. Many parts of the artwork looks like wrinkled paper or fabric and other times she creates knitting areas on the piece inspired from collage knitting technic.
